Operating Era: 1922-1956. Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific. CM&StP ordered its first true gondola in 1922-23. Over 7,600 cars based on, but not identical to, the USRA design were delivered from 4 car builders, becoming the workhorse of the open car fleet. The cars went through 4 lettering styles until scrapping started in the late 1940`s and our kit includes them all. Some cars lasted until 1956. Details in the kit feature complete door lock appliances, exact interior and underbody and a hidden car weight. Our revised and updated version has a one piece body consisting of sides, ends and underbody with detail on the inner surfaces of the sides and ends.
